Here's wishing your work schedule lightens up a little! And that I see you soon. seana grahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774794086733027289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054888927218536027.post-71890252501213263422014-11-04T21:32:41.023-08:002014-11-04T21:32:41.023-08:00Seana, I hope it is not rude to comment so late. ...Seana, I hope it is not rude to comment so late. I am slow catching up on the things I want to do, like read your blog, due to too much over-time at work. I think you wrote this with so much sensitivity, it was beautiful to read. I'm so sorry for your losses (your father and your friends). Your final statement strikes so true ... s what are we going to do with the time that remains? -JanetAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054888927218536027.post-9170769619765723292014-10-25T19:01:54.498-07:002014-10-25T19:01:54.498-07:00Thanks for sharing the "where I was" mem...Thanks for sharing the "where I was" memory. These historical moments do help us situate ourselves in time in some way, I think, even the difficult ones. seana grahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774794086733027289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054888927218536027.post-61097966463615047072014-10-25T18:30:08.507-07:002014-10-25T18:30:08.507-07:00Your post really rocked me as I could not believe ...Your post really rocked me as I could not believe the amount of time passed. I can see the living room of the house in Oklahoma where we watched the World Series earthquake and the Tiananmen Square protests on tv. I understand about your dad. My dad has been gone just a tenth of that time. It's strange I have no recollection of my parents in that house in Oklahoma, although they surely visited us that year. Thank you for this post as alternating memory waves wash over.Collagemamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03818246340865714754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054888927218536027.post-60358843353457030012014-10-18T13:47:37.403-07:002014-10-18T13:47:37.403-07:00Thanks, Kathleen. I am in some sense "used to" the earthquake ritual by now. But to realize that my dad, who died the same year as the earthquake, has been gone for a quarter of a century--well, that struck me with some force.seana grahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774794086733027289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054888927218536027.post-85840957855873853002014-10-18T13:14:57.126-07:002014-10-18T13:14:57.126-07:00I remember.
